Open voting by special nomination for the Bird in Flight Prize starts
Submission for the Bird in Flight Prize is closed. The winner will be selected by a jury. Meanwhile, we would like to announce the voting for best work by special nomination.
The goal of the Bird in Flight Prize is to support the authors who think outside the box of traditional artistic standards and look for new ways to tell a story througha photograph.
In two months the organizers of the contest received more than 350 works from 49 countries. The jury that includes Maarten Schilt, founder and director of independent publishing agency Schilt Publishing, curator Hester Keijser, and photographers Roger Ballen, Donald Weber, Arnis Balčus, Sasha Kurmaz, and Roman Pyatkovka is reviewing applications for three weeks. They are selecting ten finalists and a winner that will be announced on November 1, 2018.
Meanwhile, the organizers of the contest are launching an open voting by special nomination: the Panasonic Readers’ Choice Award. Everyone can vote. In order to do this, you need to log in through Facebook and vote the projects. You can vote for any number of projects.
The voting closes on October 17, 2018. The winner will be announced on October 18 and will be awarded with a Panasonic Lumix G9 camera and featured on Bird in Flight.
