Australian Photographed a Live Fish Inside a Jellyfish

Tim Samuel took unique pictures.

Australian photographer Tim Samuel photographed a live fish swallowed by a transparent jellyfish. The most surprising thing was that a fish steered a jellyfish from inside. He took the unique photographs when working on an underwater shoot of turtles along the coast of Byron Bay.

Samuel first posted his pictures on his Instagram back in December, but they went viral after they were shared by DiscoverOcean, an account with 661,000 subscribers.

A professional surfing instructor and photographer, he told Mashable he had never seen anything like this before.

In his comment to Australian Geographic, fish biologist Ian Tibbetts said that it was not possible to identify the fish by pictures alone, but assumed this was juvenile trevally. He explained that this fish often sought shelter among the stingers of jellyfish.
