NYC Museum of Modern Art Published the Archive of All Exhibitions for 80 Years

There are over 33,000 photographs and 3,000 archive documents on the museum's website.

Museum of Modern Art in New York City published a digital archive of all exhibitions that it hosted in the past 80 years, The Atlantic writes.

A new page on the museum’s website now offers photographs taken during exhibitions, documents and catalogues for the period between 1929 and 2016.

“This is like a dream come true for me,” said Michelle Elligott, chief of MOMA’s archives. “I’ve been playing around with this material for 20 years, and I know the depth of what’s here.”

The published materials include over 33,000 photographs and 3,000 various documents, which can be sorted by author, whose works were exhibited, or by year when the exhibition took place.

Several months ago, MOMA granted free access to over 65,000 works of art from their collection.
