Pranksters Dressed Up and Walked in Front of Trail Cameras

Trail cameras installed to track a mountain lion recorded something unexpected instead.

Several days ago the police responded to requests of Gardner city residents (Kansas), who informed that a mountain lion settled in the local park, and installed two trail cameras hoping to trace the animal, Mashable writes.

According to the statement, issued on Monday by the local police department, they were not able to do it, but the cameras captured other interesting things instead — several people dressed up in weird costumes and a person with a walker.

The police said they were surprised by what they saw: they expected to have to be watching through hundreds of boring photographs of raccoons, foxes, and coyotes, but they had a good laugh instead. “Thank you to the citizens who noticed the cameras. Your effort and sense of humor are greatly appreciated,” the police said.
