Link of the Day: A Basic Course on Digital Photography from Harvard

The entire course will take users between 10 and 15 hours.

Harvard University posted its basic course on digital photography online — it is available on the website of Alison education portal, The Next Web writes.

The program includes 12 modules and covers everything that a beginner needs to know — starting from the technical aspects of taking pictures and ending with basics of light and shade and composition of the image. The course takes between 10 and 15 hours: each student with grades over 80% will be able to receive a completion certificate.

Digital Photography course was released in 2013 as part of the Harvard Open Learning initiative. During this time it was taken by over 400,000 people.

Early last year, MoMA presented a similar course: it includes video lectures, audio slideshows on different photography genres, as well as an online tour of the museum’s 180-year-old collection.
