Eelco Roos from the Netherlands gave up the engineering position at IBM Amsterdam to become a professional Instagrammer, writes Daily Mail. He decided to quit his job after number of his blog’s followers reached more than 100,000 and brands began contacting him with commercial offers. So, Roos realized that he does not have enough time for both his job and Instagram.
For a few years Roos posted photos from his travels through the US. It helped him to gain a big audience. Today, he has more than 450,000 followers.
Eelco Roos’s main source of income is from online advertisement campaigns for the tourist agencies and brands including Samsung, Sony, Johnnie Walker and Ducati. He also runs classes on mobile photography and brand promotion in Instagram.
I just visited the press opening of the #LateRembrandt exhibition. Incredible to see all his late work in one place. I was just informed they have been working for 10 years to get all his late work together, so if you are in Amsterdam, do yourself a favor and visit @rijksmuseum for this unique opportunity.
