Visual Storytelling Awards Contest Submission Opened

The authors of the best series and mini-series will receive $2000 and $1000 accordingly.

Lens Culture magazine announced that submission for Visual Storytelling Awards 2015 is now opened.

Submission deadline is November 2. Works may be submitted in five nominations: Documentary, Personal Stories, Photojournalism, Fictional Narratives and Open. In the first four nominations the winners of Series and Mini-series categories will be selected, while in Open Nomination the jury will choose five best photographs.

The authors of the best series will receive $2000 each, the authors of the best mini-series will receive $1000 each. All winners in the Open Nomination will be awarded $500. The best works will be exhibited at photo festivals all over the world for a year.

Visual Storytelling Awards 2015 jury includes World Press Photo managing director Lars Boering, The New York Times Paris picture editor Daphne Angles and photojournalist from Iran Newsha Tavakolian.

Participation fee varies from $20 to $60 depending on category.
