Instagram to Stop Using Photo Maps
You will no longer be able to see your friends' locations.
Instagram will kill its photo map feature, which allows to see where users took their pictures based on their geolocation, Mashable writes.
The spokesperson for the company said that the feature was not popular enough. Users will still be able to perform a search by geotags.
This way, Instagram abandons one of its features that existed since the platform was launched. According to Mashable, when Foursquare killed a similar feature, its popularity almost halved.
