Colleagues Are Fundraising for Jared Moossy’s Recovery

The raised funds will be used for rehabilitation of the photojournalist who is a victim of a car accident.

On Thursday, October 1, a fundraising campaign started on Indiegogo to help Jared Moossy who is a victim of a car accident – he was hit by a drunk driver.

Several dozen prints of works of Moossy himself and his colleagues who agreed to participate in the campaign are put on sale on the webpage of the project. The money received for the prints will be used for rehabilitation of the photographer. In the first 18 hours after the launch of the campaign they managed to raise over $3,000 out of the required $20,000.

Among photographers who agreed to donate their works for the project are Magnum Photos member Michael Christopher Brown, World Press Photo prize winner Q. Sakamaki and Sony World Photography Award winner Chiara Goia.

Jared Moossy is an American photojournalist, PDN Photo Annual 2008 photo contest winner. His works were published in Newsweek, Time and Wall Street Journal.
