Coco Chanel Photobook to be Published for the Fourth Time

A special fourth edition of the book “Coco Chanel: Three Weeks/1962” by the LIFE magazine photographer Douglas Kirkland will be published in the USA. The book, published in 2008 for the first time, features 118 images of Chanel’s everyday life made during Kirkland’s visit to Paris in 1962. The photographer was on assignment with LOOK magazine to follow Coco everywhere – in her apartments at Ritz Hotel, at fashion shows, at the parties and at work.

The special edition is available in a gift box and contains an image with the author’s autograph.

“I shot some fashion to please Mademoiselle but had to have the film developed in Paris to show her before she would trust me,” wrote Kirkland.
