Video of the Day: How Neural Networks See “Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas”
Artificial intelligence distinguishes animals and birds in the moving people.
Roelof Pieters, a PhD student at the The Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), posted a video to YouTube, “Deep Dreaming Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas” which is the product of putting a scene from the film “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” through a neural network. By scanning shapes and colors, the network compare them with images saved in their archive and distinguishes objects. After finding analogues, they re-create the original image in the way it was distinguished.
The original film, starring Johnny Depp, was released in 1998. It is based on the book by Hunter S. Thompson.
