Astrophotographer from Australia Captures the ISS Flying Across the Moon
He had only 0.33 second to take a shot of the International Space Station flying across the face of the moon.
Australian amateur photographer Dylan O’Donnell captured the International Space Station flying across the moon’s face. ISS revolves around the Earth with an average speed of about 7.66km/s, so O’Donnell had only about a third of a second to capture the ISS with the moon in the background.
According to Petapixel, it took about one year for O’Donnell to prepare for the shot. He used a Canon 70D and a Celestron 9.25-inch telescope. The shutter speed was 1/1650s and the ISO was 800.
