Seek Thermal Launches New Thermal Camera

A camera attachment for smartphones helps see objects at various temperatures starts at $200.00 USD.

A thermal camera launched by American company Seek Thermal, measures heat and transforms it into an image. Differences in temperature can be seen as various colors (cameras have an option to select preferred colors). The device is able to measure temperatures between -40°С and +330° С. “The high price of thermal imaging products have always restricted their use to firefighters, law enforcement professionals, high end contractors and military personnel. Seek Thermal will enable average consumers to ‘see heat’ for the first time,” said President and CEO Robert Acker. Developers pointed out that the camera can be used to find a safe ways to escape from fire, find people floating in water at night or lost pets in dark or it can trace water leaks across a wall.

The camera attachment is now available for purchase through Seek’s website as well as on Amazon.
