London filmmaker Magali Barbe posted a five-minute short film called Strange Beasts, which had over 100,000 views in only a week.
The main character of the video is a man who introduces the benefits of smart lenses of augmented reality. They project virtual pets on objects in the real world: the user can customize their appearance, choose color, play with them, and they obey the master’s commands.
At some point, the man meets his daughter and offers her to go to the part. There they have fund, talk, the girl plays with AR-pets — and then it turns out that she is a product of virtual reality, just like them.
