IBM Engineer Quits His Job to Earn on Instagram
Eelco Roos from the Netherlands gave up the engineering position at IBM Amsterdam to become a professional Instagrammer, writes Daily Mail. He decided to quit his job after number of his blog’s followers reached more than 100,000 and brands began contacting him with commercial offers. So, Roos realized that he does not have enough time for both his job and Instagram.
For a few years Roos posted photos from his travels through the US. It helped him to gain a big audience. Today, he has more than 450,000 followers.
Eelco Roos’s main source of income is from online advertisement campaigns for the tourist agencies and brands including Samsung, Sony, Johnnie Walker and Ducati. He also runs classes on mobile photography and brand promotion in Instagram.
