International Festival Of Fashion And Photography In France

The 29th festival of Fashion and Photography will take place in Hyeres, a town in France. Every spring in the South of France, the International Festival of Fashion and Photography spotlights young promising artists in the fields of fashion and photography. The competition is open to any student, photographer or artist using the photographic medium on a regular basis. The average ago of the participants is 20. It showcases 10 fashion designers and 10 photographers from France, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, Netherlands, Poland and Italy, selected by a jury of professionals in each field. The head of this year’s jury is Steve Hyatt, a fashion photographer. Associate photo editor of The New York Times Magazine Stacey Baker and director of London’s The Photographers’ Gallery Brett Rogers will be part of the jury as well. The Hyères International Festival of Fashion And Photography was founded in 1985. Typically it takes place over the course of three days in April-May. Its goal is to bring to light new names. Parallel to the competition, are exhibitions exploring the osmosis between art, photography, fashion, and design, as well as lectures and seminars.
