PDN Photo Annual 200 Photographers of the Year

Between 10 and 29 photographers in each of the ten categories were selected as winners.

PDN Photo Annual competition announced the names of 200 of the best photographers of 2015. The winners were announced in 10 categories: “Advertising/Corporate Work,” “Magazine/Editorial,” “Photo Book,” “Photojournalism/Documentary,” “Sport,” “Self-Promotion,” “Personal,” “Stock Photography,” “Video” and “Student Work”. This year photo editors and directors of The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Esquire, Wired, New York Magazine, Facebook photo community manager, and vice president of photo assignments at Getty Images were among the jury members.

Twenty photojournalists were recognized in the category “Photojournalism/Documentary” (please see the photos below) namely: Daniel Berehulak, David Chancellor, Dina Litovsky, Dominic Nahr, Graham Macindoe, Jamey Stillings, Jan Grarup, Jerome Sessini, John Moore, Mads Nissen, Marco Casino, Mark Peterson, Marko Djurica, Maxim Dondyuk, Meeri Koutaniemi, Michael Robinson Chávez, Paolo Marchetti, Philip Montgomery, Richard John Seymour, Sebastiano Tomada.

Nancy Borovik was awarded with The Arnold Newman Prize ($15,000), photographer Meeri Koutaniemi was rewarded with The Marty Forscher Fellowship ($5,000) and a student, Alexandra Hootnick, will receive a $3,000 cash prize.
