Photos of the Palettes of Painters in Venice

An exhibition by German artist and photographer Matthias Schaller opened in Venice. The subjects of the photos are palettes of famous artists who lived in the last two centuries. Since 2007, Schaller researched painting techniques used by 70 European artists. As part of the study he took photos of 180 palettes.

The exhibition showcases 20 palettes, including: Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Francis Bacon, Paul Cézanne, Claude Monet, Wassily Kandinsky, and others.

The Exhibition will last until June 7th.
