Photographer Flora Borsi Combined Old and New Images of Detroit
To show the changes that Detroit has gone through in recent decades, Hungarian photographer Flora Borsi combines the photographs from the 1900s with present day images.
“Not so very long ago, Detroit was a rich, beautiful city, full of vibrant people. I have been there recently, and I was saddened by what I saw” – the author writes.
She found old photographs of Detroit, placed the silhouettes of people from them into her own photographs and colored the images.
“Could Detroit rise again? I hope so” — Borsi says in a project description on her website.
