Women competing in the fifth edition of the Miss Gordita beauty pageant for plus size women are waiting to exit a bus that is taking them to the show's location at the shopping center in Asuncion. This year 14 participants will promote the fight against discrimination of overweight people — according to the official statistics, 57% of the population of Paraguay is overweight or obese.
