Male Black-naped Monarch is feeding his baby in a park in Taipei, Taiwan. The adult male bird is up to 16cm long, has bright blue color, is known for its black plumage on the back of its head and a thin necklace of the same color. Female birds have a duller look: their feathers are pale azure color with a touch of greyish brown, they have no black marks on their bodies.
