Photos of Crime Scenes will be Posted to Internet

Department of Records and Information Services of New York City will digitize police photo archive.

National Endowment for the Humanities (USA) awarded a $125,000 grant for the digitization of 30,000 of photos made by New York police from 1915 to 1975. According The New York Times, photos stored in the archive of the police department depict road accidents, murders, plane crashes, explosion, and cats stuck in trees. The Department of Records and Information Services of New York City will scan the photos and make them available for online viewing in early June.
