Annie Leibovitz Shoots New Characters from 7th Star Wars

Annie Leibovitz shot famous and never-seen-before characters from the beloved film series.

For the celebration of “Star Wars Day” on May 4th, Vanity Fair published a series of photos from the set of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The film’s premiere is scheduled for December 2015. Portraits of the famous and some never-before-seen characters were taken by Annie Leibovitz in Pinewood Studios in London. The June cover of the magazine will feature a group portrait of Princess Han Solo, Princess Leia, R2-D2, and Chewbacca.

(Star Wars Day is an easy pun on the catch phrase “May the Force be with you” – “May the fourth be with you.”)
