Astronaut Scott Kelly Captured the Aurora from the ISS
Mashable reports, the aurora display Kelly photographed may have been the result of a strong solar storm arriving at and bombarding Earth’s magnetic field.
Scott Kelly is part of the One Year in Space mission, together with Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko. They have been aboad the station for almost 150 days. All this time Kelly has posted on Twitter and Instagram, where he uploads the photographs he made on the ISS.
The astronauts are expected to come back to Earth in spring 2016.
