A US cruise ship glides into the port of Havana for the first time in forty years. There are about 700 passengers on the 9 decks of Adonia. After Carnival, an American company, received a license to open this route, they had to wait for almost a year for the Cuban government to cancel the regulation that made Cubans with an American passport only get into Cuba by plane. Now there will be a permanent connection between Havana and Miami, which is a home to a large Cuban diaspora.
