Alfredo Lopez is a contestant at the annual Miss Gay Venezuela beauty pageant in Caracas. A man has to be under 37 years of age and over 170 cm in height to participate. Many of the contestant's evening gowns are from Venezuela's top designers who also work with the widely known Miss Venezuela organization. Beauty pageants have recently become a national sport in Venezuela: the contestants from this country win Miss World, Miss Universe and other contests more often, than the others.
