There might be a ninth planet in the Solar system — yet undiscovered, and 250 times further away from the Sun than the Earth. American Astronomical Journal published the article of California Institute of Technology researchers Michael Brown and Konstantin Batygin, who claim they found proof of the existence of the new planet — judging by a number of mysterious features of the field of icy objects and debris beyond Neptune known as the Kuiper Belt . It is supposed that the planet is comparable with Neptune and is 5–10 times bigger than the Earth.
