Hours worked in bread, rice and Big Macs

The average resident of Hong Kong needs only 9 minutes at work to earn enough money for a Big Mac, but a resident of Nairobi has to work almost 3 hours for one.

Swiss bank UBS published the 16th edition of its annual research Prices and Earnings, in which they have analyzed purchasing power in 71 different cities in the world. The researchers counted how much time it takes the residents of each city to earn different food products. The editors at Bird in Flight decided to take a look at how much rice, bread and Big Macs world citizens can earn in their respective cities after one hour of work.
