Kickstarter For Photobook About Women With Curves

Plus-size models will be depicted in Victoria Janashvili’s project “Curves.”

Fashion photographer Victoria Janashvili launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for publishing a book, “Curves,” about the beauty of women regardless of size and shape.

In the project description Janashvili mentioned her seven years of professional experience working as a fashion photographer for famous magazine like GQ, Maxim, Esquire and Cosmopolitan, and talked about her series of portraits in “Curves,” which protests unrealistic beauty standards set by the fashion industry.

“I feel very happy that the fashion magazines and media in general started to embrace a healthier images of a ‘beautiful woman,'” writes Janashvili. However, it is not enough according to the photographer because one of the main reasons for suicide among women is dissatisfaction with their appearance.

Janashvili hopes that her book will save several lives, will help women to feel better, and teach them to love themselves.
