Kraszna-Krausz Prize Goes to Book About Irish Drinkers

Kraszna-Krausz First Book Award named the winners of 2015. The book I went to the worst of bars hoping to get killed. but all I could do was to get drunk again, by Irish photographer Ciarán Óg Arnold, won the best photobook of the year. The book depicts the life of young jobless Irish men from Ballinasloe who spend their lives in the town’s pubs. The name of the book was taken from a poem Suicide Kid by Charles Bukowski.

First Book Award is given annually for publication of the best educational, historical and cultural photo stories.
