Photographer Steve McCurry Talked About What He Saw in Paris

Paris terror attacks reminded him 9/11 in the US.

Famous American photojournalist Steve McCurry, who was on Stade de France stadium in Paris on November 13, told CBS channel about his experience of the series of explosions near the stadium, PetaPixel writes.

“When we heard the explosions, we thought it was a part of some show, — McCurry explains. — and then everyone started to leave suddenly. It was a stampede, people running and screaming. I thought I was gonna die, I thought my life was gonna come to an end. I was getting pushed down to the ground. Slowly people started getting messages to their phones, and then people started to flood onto the field, because they didn’t know where to go. When we got outside, it was just chaos.”

McCurry also said the events reminded him of September 11, 2001 terror attacks in America, which he witnessed. “It was just people fleeing for their lives, I saw people knocked down. It was just kind of a horrific scene.”
