Portraits of The Year Selected in England

The judging panel of the International photographic portrait competition selected the best images from 4193 submitted photos.

Within the frames of Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize National Portrait Gallery (UK) selected the best portraits of year 2014. From 4193 submissions, of which there were scenic, posed, and advertising photos, the judging panel selected the best four images.

The £12 000 first prize was awarded to British fashion-photographer David Titlow for Konrad Lars Hastings Titlow featuring his baby son with a dog.

The £3,000 second prize was awarded to Jessica Fulford-Dobson for “Skate Girl” from the series the series “The Skate Girls of Kabul,” which documents children looked after by the Afghan organization Skateistan.

The £2,000 third prize was awarded to Estonian photographer Birgit Püve for “Braian and Ryan” from a series about twins.

The fourth prize was given to Blerim Racaj for “Indecisive Moment” from a series about the life of the young Kosovars.
