Wendy Arbeit Made 17 Selfies Posing as a Woman from Each Decade between 1850s and 2010s
To take each of the pictures, American designer dressed up in the spirit of the epoch.
American designer Wendy Arbeit posted a series A Moment in Time on her website, where she put together 17 self-portraits, in styles of each of the decades between 1850s and 2010s.
The author says it took him about a year to create the photographs. Before taking each photograph she thoroughly studied historical documents to depict each epoch in the most exact way.
“My goal was to explore the idea of identity and what it means to live in a specific moment in history”, — Arbeit said.
