Airline Tests Virtual Reality Headset
Passengers of an Australian airline soon will be provided with Samsung Gear VR.
Qantas Airways, an Australian airline, announced their release of a new on-board service: passengers will be offered Samsung Gear Virtual Reality headset to enjoy their time during the flight. Service is undergoing testing, so it can be used only by the First Class passengers. Qantas’ VR headsets will allow passengers to have a walk in Kakady National Park or observe airplanes landing from the tarmac.
“From an inflight entertainment perspective, it’s an industry first,” said Qantas Group Executive, Brand, Marketing & Corporate Affairs Olivia Wirth.
