Tokyo’s metropolitan government banned drones in 81 public parks. The fine for using a drone could be as high as $400.
According to the BBC the decision was made after a protester, Yasuo Yamamoto, landed a drone carrying radioactive material on the roof of the prime minister’s residence. Yamamoto explained he was protesting the Japanese government’s nuclear energy policy.
Tokyo said drones also pose a danger to children, reported The Japan News.
