Official pages of brands and celebrities will have verified badges.
Instagram announced in their blog that the number of accounts registered has reached 300 million (and beat Twitter’s 284 million record). Acknowledging responsibility to provide authentic content, which increases daily by more than 70 million posts, Instagram decided to introduce verified badges for the accounts of famous brands and people. Also, the company will delete the fake and spammy accounts.
