Program Identifies Faces & Objects
Wolfram Research company released their Image Identification instrument, writes The Verge. The system is able to identify objects from a a downloaded image, and provide the object’s definition.
The developers taught the program how to identify more than 10,000 objects from everyday life: animals, plants and equipment. It’s more complicated when it comes to the identification of a specific person, abstract art or an unusual object. “And to me what’s particularly fascinating is that when it does get something wrong, the mistakes it makes mostly seem remarkably human,”wrote founder of the company, Stephen Wolfram.
