Photographer Captures Lightning Strike Empire State Building

Henrik Moltke captured a 103-story skyscraper, which was once considered one of the tallest buildings in the world.

NYC-based German photographer Henrik Moltke posted a short video on YouTube where he captured the lightning strike Empire State Building.

According to Gizmodo, storms are not a rare occasion on the East Coast of the US, and the construction of the building has long make it a local lightning rod. The lightning strikes it pretty often, sometimes up to several times a day.

The video quickly became viral in social networks, a screenshot from it that the author published on Twitter had over a thousand reposts and almost two thousand likes.
