Instagram of the Day: Bus Seats All over the World

French film director photographs patterns on public transportation seats all over the world.

French film director Julien Potart takes photographs of seats in public transport all over the world and publishes them on Instagram @idontgiveaseat, The Huffington Post writes.

Potart has had the account for a year and a half: “The idea came while I was on various work trips, or when I was on vacation. I noticed that every bus and subway car had its own seat motif. I really liked getting lost in thought as I contemplated these patterns.”

Currently, @idontgiveaseat features photographs from Los Angeles, Tokyo, Palermo, Rome, Paris, Kyoto, and many other cities. At first, Potart published only his own photographs, but now he receives new pictures from friends and strangers from different countries.

“That’s what I like about this: it’s a collaborative project,” the photographer says.
