Remote Camera Captures a Mountain Lion Above Los Angeles at Night

The photo was captured at the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.

Los Angeles is one of the two megacities in the world, where carnivores live within the city limits, another city being Mumbai, a ranger writes on Facebook. PetaPixel notes that mountain lions are hard to capture, because they are very careful and avoid humans. For instance, the puma known as P-22 has lived in the Griffith Park in L.A. for years: during the daytime it hides in the bushes and is active only at night.
