Photographer Captures F1 Racing on a 100-Year-Old Camera

Joshua Paul has been shooting F1 racing on a Graflex 4×5 camera since 2013.

Photographer Joshua Paul took photographs of F1 races for his Lollipop Magazine, using 1913 Graflex 4×5 camera. It is a press camera, meaning that it was used by photojournalists at the time.

Paul says that he has been in photography since 1997, and used Graflex to shoot at F1 races for the first time in 2013. PetaPixel writes that while modern digital cameras can shoot up to 12 frames per second, Paul has taken only 20 photographs for the entire race: he spends most of the time preparing to take a picture and choosing the best composition.
