Link of the Day: How Different People Draw the Same Objects
In November last year, Google launched a web-experiment called Quick, Draw!, suggesting to Internet users that they draw various objects so that the neural network could guess what they are. The website of the project quickly went viral, and over 15 million people participated in the experiment.
Half a year later, Google collected the resulting drawings and created a separate website for them, which shows how different people draw the same objects. Each of the categories — such as Plants, Furniture, or Cars — has tens of thousands of different sketches.
The creators say that this project has a unique scale and in the future may be useful both for developers, to teach new neural networks, and for scientists, who will be able to see how people draw.
