Author of District 9 Releases a New Short Film with Sigourney Weaver
Two more films of Neill Blomkamp's new project will be released soon.
Neill Blomkamp, known for his work on Elysium, Chappie, and District 9, which secured him an Academy Award nomination, posted his new experimental short film, Rakka. The main part in the new film is played by Sigourney Weaver. The events unfold in 2020, when humanity is confronted with an alien invasion, Collider writes.
Rakka is the first episode in a series of short films that Blomkamp is working on: he plans to publish two more in a short period of time. According to the director, he wants to check how interested the audience is in projects such as this one. The best of them would later become full-length films.
