New App Creates Font from Instagram Images
Type to Design, a new app that allows you to decorate your text with the Instagram photos.
Design Studio Super Powered launched a website Type to Design to help users add letters made from Instagram photos to any text.
First, a user types text into a line with a cursor, then he or she changes the images by clicking on it, and finally text is saved in a pdf format. The app works only with Latin symbols and is free for private non-commercial use.

The project was based on a designers’ flashmob 36 Days of Type which called on designers and illustrators from all over the globe to create one unique letterform a day and upload it to Instagram. It encouraged creating a design for the alphabet with a lot of options for every symbol.
