Islamic Extremists Destroy Museum and Library

Terrorists released a video showing militants destroying ancient artifacts.

Islamic State of Iraq and Leviathan released a video showing the smashing of artifacts at a museum in Mosul, writes The Daily Mail. Equipped with sledgehammers and power drills, the extremists destroyed collections of statues and sculptures dating back to VII century B.C. The terrorists claim they are opposing idolatry.

Iraqi archaeologists compare the damage of destroyed artifacts in Mosul with the destruction of a Buddha statue by the Taliban in Afghanistan in 2001.

In the backyard of the Central Library of Mosul, ISIS militants burned books and manuscripts that they claim provoke dissent. They also bombed the library, destroying 820,000 books.
