Magnum Photos Will Be Featured On TV Show
Carnival Films (Jeeves and Wooster and Downtown Abbey) announced the development of a television series Magnum about the early days of the photo agency, Magnum Photos, established in 1947 by Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, George Rodger and David Seymour.
“With cameras in hand and private lives often in turmoil, Magnum’s photographers sacrificed everything to capture history through the lens,” says Carnival Films in a press release.
Magnum’s Executive Director David Kogan says that the Magnum Photos had an idea to develop drama series for quite a while and they were looking for a studio interested in historical documentaries. Magnum’s staff will help screen writers to remain faithful to recreating history. It is planned that series will be released not earlier than 2017.
