Photographer Features American Military in Mirror World

American photographer Devin Mitchell started The Veteran Vision Project about how veterans look in a everyday life. He captured a photo of the war veterans standing in front of a mirror wearing clothes the veteran felt represented their civilian self, and another photo in uniform. Then, in Photoshop, he composited the two photographs into one photo showing the veteran’s reflection in a mirror. The project was noticed by American media and Mitchell started collecting money to publish a photo book. He plans to publish 200 images and interviews with the veterans in the book. Within one month he collected $58,108 – twice the amount he requested. With the extra money the photographer promises to continue his project.
