The Installation Was Mistaken for Garbage in the Museum in Italy

The work called 'Where are we going to dance this evening?' consisted of confetti, glitter and empty champagne bottles.

The cleaners at Bozen-Bolzano museum in Italy threw away one of the installations by mistake, because they thought it was leftover garbage from the Friday party, Metro writes.

The artwork is called ‘Where are we going to dance this evening?’ by Sara Goldschmied and Eleonora Chiari. It is made of confetti, glitter and empty champagne bottles. The authors idea is that this piece symbolizes the decadence of the 1980s in Italy, the period characterized by hedonism and consumerism.

The management found out what happened the next day. They claim that fortunately all parts of the installation remained intact and it will be reopened soon.
