Rolling Stone Names the 100 Best Movies of the 1990s

On top of the rating is Goodfellas by Martin Scorsese.

Rolling Stone compiled the list of the best movies from the 1990s — the journalists surveyed a group of movie critics, cultural critics, and movie lovers. The first place in the resulting rating went to Goodfellas by Martin Scorsese, and the second and third — to Hoop Dreams by Steve James and Safe by Todd Haynes, Konbini writes.

“From Oscar-winners to obscure-but-wonderful gems, nonfiction social-issue sagas to a seven-hour Hungarian masterpiece, Titanic to Tarantino, these are the films we still argue over, quote endlessly and return to again and again,” the authors of the rating write.

The list also includes The Silence of the Lambs by Jonathan Demme, Chungking Express by Wong Kar-wai, Pulp Fiction by Quentin Tarantino, Fargo by The Coen Brothers, and Fight Club by David Fincher. The full rating is available here.
