Newlyweds Have a Photo Shoot in a Destroyed Syrian City

Hassan Youssef and Nada Merhi wanted to show that life is stronger than death.

A 27-year-old soldier from Syria, Hassan Youssef, and his 18-year-old bride, Nada Merhi, had a wedding photo shoot in the Syrian city of Homs, destroyed by the war, Mashable writes. The newlyweds said they did it as a symbolic demonstration that ‘life is stronger than death’.

The shoot by wedding photographer Jafar Meray was captured by Joseph Eid, a photographer with the AFP news agency.
